Thank you for choosing Sahan Tours. Before booking, we strongly recommend that you carefully review the following Terms and Conditions. By confirming your reservation, you agree to abide by these terms, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

1. Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability. A booking will only be confirmed under the following conditions:

    • You are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to create a binding contractual obligation.

    • You accept and agree to all the Terms and Conditions contained in this document.

    • You provide accurate, current, and complete information for the purpose of that booking.Travelers must be in good health and may be required to provide a medical certificate if requested.

    • Sahan Tours reserves the right to refuse service to individuals whose health condition may pose a risk.

In the event that you make a reservation on behalf of someone other than yourself, you will be considered the designated contact person for the other travelers. You represent and warrant that you are authorized to act on their behalf, have obtained all necessary consents, and that you will inform them of these Terms. You also warrant that they accept and agree to them.

Additionally, it is your responsibility to ensure that all payments due for your reservation are made on time, to notify us if any changes are required, and to communicate relevant information to the other travelers.

2.Payment & Deposits: 

To confirm a booking, we require a 10% payment deposit in advance. This can be made by bank transfer or by debit card in US dollars. The remaining amount can be paid upon arrival in US cash.

3. Changes

Risk-free Booking: Don’t worry if your plans need to be modified: our team is here to assist you. It is possible to arrange a Horn of Africa tour at a different time if you wish. You may amend your booking dates once without incurring any change fees under our cancellation policy.
Cancellations & Refunds
You must notify us in writing by email 48 hours before your departure date if you wish to cancel your booking for any reason. We will refund your deposit money after you cancel, and refunds will be processed and paid as soon as possible. You will receive your refund after we have recovered funds already paid to your tour arrangement, such as entrance fees, hotel deposits, and letter invitations. Refunds are usually processed within six weeks of being requested. Credit card refunds will be credited to the same card as the payment provided the refund does not exceed the amount paid

4.Conduct Behavior

    • Travelers must respect local laws, customs, and traditions.

    • Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate removal from the tour without a refund.

    • Somalia is a Muslim country, and public displays of affection such as kissing and touching are considered inappropriate.
        • Example: A Pakistani tourist was detained in Somaliland for filming while engaging in public affection. Such actions can harm the reputation of the tour company and should be avoided.

5.Content Creators & Media

    • YouTubers, vloggers, and documentary makers must respect local communities and avoid filming poverty-stricken areas for sensationalized content.

    • Permission from the Ministry of Information and Tourism is required for all filming activities, including drone use.
        • Drones must be under 25kg, such as the Mavic Pro drone. Larger drones require clearance from law enforcement.

    • Journalists and documentary makers must obtain official permission and commit to ethical storytelling.
        • Example: Russian YouTuber Anton Lyadov faced criticism for a misleading documentary about Somalia, prompting him to remove the video. This underscores the need for accurate portrayals and responsible media practices.

6.Force Majeure

Sahan Tours is not responsible for delays or cancellations due to:

    • Natural disasters

    • Political unrest

    • Strikes

7.Privacy Policy

    • Personal data is collected solely for tour booking and operations and is kept confidential.

8.Data Protection

    • We employ advanced security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

      All credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties.

      Sharing your personal Information
      We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information.

      Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
