In Africa, Djibouti is one of the smallest and least known countries with lakes, dormant volcanoes, and forests. The strikingly beautiful landscape of this tiny country will take your breath away, such as Lac Abbe’s limestone chimneys, and Lake Assal’s lowest point in Africa, contrasting with the lush greenery and waterfalls of the Day Forest. The cultural melting pot of African, Arabic and Indian Ocean influences, Djibouti, carries an excitement that is unmatched by other popular destinations.
As soon as you land in Djibouti city, our team will be there to pick you up and take you to your hotel. Relax for a while and get ready for a city tour of Djibouti if time permits according to your arrival time. Visit the bustling markets, taste the local delicacies, and witness the vibrant culture of the city. In the evening, head back to your hotel and rest for the night at Ras Dika hotel or similar.
After breakfast, we will start our journey to the mesmerizing Lake Assal. The lake is located 120 km west of Djibouti city and is known for its turquoise waters and the mesmerizing landscapes surrounding it. Lake Assal is the lowest point in Africa, once we reach the lake, you can walk on the shore or take a dip in the salty waters. You can also have a picnic lunch with an incredible view. After spending some time at Lake Assal, we will head back to Djibouti city to explore its famous attractions. We will visit the Central Market, the Presidential Palace, and the famous Hamoudi Mosque. You will also have some time to walk around the city and explore its culture and tradition. Overnight in Djibouti city at Ras Dika hotel or similar.
On the final day of the Djibouti Short Adventure Tour, after breakfast, you will have some free time to explore the city on your own. You can do some souvenir shopping or take a walk around the city before we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
