OVERVIEW

Kismayo, Somalia’s third-largest city, is 528 km from Mogadishu. Once a fishing village, it grew under the Ajuran Sultanate and saw settlement by northern Somali pastoralists in the 19th century. The Sultanate of Zanzibar and later British and Italian rule shaped its history. Our Kismayo City Tour highlights historic sites, beaches, and markets, with a visit to Goobweyn—the meeting point of the Jubba River and Indian Ocean, 15 km north of the city.

Day 01 :

MOGADISHU TOUR

Upon arrival at Aden Adde Airport, get immigration help and transfer to your hotel. After lunch and a tour briefing, explore Makka Almukarama Road, visit the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, Italian Colonial Parliament, and Il Palazzo del Parlamento. At Lido Beach, enjoy a boat ride and shoreline walk. Visit Mogadishu Mall, Hamarweyne Market, and relax at a rooftop café overlooking Mogadishu Cathedral. Stop Peace Park. End the day watching the sunset at Airport Beach, then return to the hotel overnight

Day 02 :

MOGADISHO- KISMAYO -GOBWEYN TOUR

After breakfast we will drop you off to Mogadisho airport to fly to Kismayo. Upon arrival at Kismayo Airport, transfer to Secure Zone Hotel for check-in. Travel 13 km north to Goobweyn Farming Village to visit the scenic Jubba River, enjoy breathtaking views, and spot diverse birdlife, including flamingos. Have some fresh coconut., locally prepared lunch before a boat ride to where the Jubba River meets the Indian Ocean. Return to the hotel to relax and reflect on the day’s experiences. Overnight stay in Kismayo.

Day 03 :

KISMAYO- KANDAYOU ISLAND TOUR

Wake up at 6:30 AM to catch the breathtaking sunrise at Kabora Beach, offering stunning ocean views and a picturesque view of Kismayo City. After soaking in the serene morning, enjoy a well-prepared breakfast with an omelet as the best option. Then, take a walk along Kismayo Beach before visiting the vibrant fish market to experience the local seafood trade. Later, swim at Alanlay Beach and take a boat KandayuuE island,Visit protective fortress dating back centuries. End the tour with a visit kismayo football stadium and the local market to engage with the community.

Day 04 :

DEPARTURE

Wake up early, have breakfast at the hotel, and pack. Transfer to Kismayo Airport (12 km). Consider tipping the local team before departing for your afternoon international flight from Mogadishu via Ethiopian Airlines
